Reflections along the spiritual path

My name is Emily Griffith Burke. My pronouns are she or they. I am white. I am walking a path of spirituality and healing. My current intention with this collection is to consolidate my spiritually-oriented creative works and explorations into a single virtual space. This intention may change over time.

My faith tradition is Buddhism. I currently practice within a Theravadan Vipassana (Insight) framework, and I have a background in Mayahana Tibetan Kadampa Buddhism. I practice with an interfaith lens and also draw inspiration from the mystical traditions of Sufism, Kabbalah, and contemplative Christianity.

In addition to these faith traditions, my practice is moved and influenced by tarot, archetypes, intuitive and dream work, ritual, social justice, creative expression, movement practices, psychotherapy and healing practices.

I invite you to join me as I walk this path with the Divine Unknown and contemplate what arises along the way.

Emily Griffith Burke serves as the Yogi Relations Coordinator at Southern Dharma Retreat Center, a guest teacher with Triangle Insight Meditation Community, Sati School Teacher with the Mindful Families of Durham, and counselor with Kadampa Family Dharma Camp.

She is currently working towards her MDiv and MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University.

She is the author of The Buddha’s Teachings for Beginners and Buddhism for Kids.
